核医学科简介

我科建于1958年,现有教授1人,副教授2人,硕士导师3人,中级职称技术人员5人,初级职称人员2人,在读研究生5人。科室为卫生部师资培训基地,是广东省医学会核医学分会副主委单位之一,隶属广东省重点学科中山医科大学附属第一医院医学影像学部。科室学术及医疗能力处华南地区领先水平,拥有先进的SPECT核素影像系统,常规开展全身各器官系统的核素影像检查,尤其在冠心病早期诊断、肿瘤骨转移监测、脑血流及肾功能检查等方面具有独特的优势。

科室自50年代末开展甲亢放射性碘-131治疗以来,目前治疗病例已超过3万,为国内治疗人次最多的单位之一。 该法主要通过消除肿大的甲状腺而达治愈目的,故誉称为"不开刀的手术治疗"。几十年临床经验证明:碘-131治疗甲亢具有安全、简便、快速、复发率低(<10%)的特点,其一次服药治愈率达70~80%,有效率达100%。本法无肝损害及白细胞下降的副作用,也无白血病、恶性肿瘤及不孕发生率增高的报道!因而是甲亢治疗的首选方法之一。其它如血管瘤、疤痕等皮肤病的敷贴治疗、多发性骨转移癌的89Sr治疗以及甲状腺癌术后转移灶的碘-131治疗等均为本科常规开展的医疗项目。

冠心病心肌灌注显像研究为国内开展该项研究最早的单位之一,先后受广东省自然科学基金和国家95科技攻关项目基金资助,其中课题《99mTc-MIBI心肌定量显像方法探讨及其在冠心病中系列应用研究》获1995年度广东省医药卫生科技进步三等奖。目前承担一项国家自然科学基金资助项目研究。

Nuclear Medicine

The nuclear medicine division was founded in 1958, a branch of Medical Imaging Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. Now there are one professor and two associate professor. Both of them are qualified tutor for Master candidates, at present 5 postgraduate candidates here. The nuclear medicine division is one of the basement of continue education of the Health Ministry, and one of the chief consulting department of Guangdong Medical Association in Nuclear Medicine. We not only possess advanced SPECT system, but also know better and have advantages in the early diagnosis of coronary artery disease, the monitoring of bone metastasis, the detecting brain metabolism and renal function, which are in the leadership of South-China region.

Since 1950's, we have treated over 30,000 cases of hyperthyroidism with radioactive iodine (131-I), among of the top rank of most cured cases. It is called "no-operation surgery" for using radioactive ray to cut the enlarged thyroid. Based on the past decades experience, the 131-I for hyperthyroidism is considered as one with advantages over other medical treatment of its safety, simplified usage, effective and low recurrence (<10%). The cure rate is over 70-80% of one dose usage. There are no reports on its related hepatic damage, leukocytes decreasing, and let alone leukemia, malignant tumor and sterility. Thus radioactive 131-I is one of the first choice in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. We also use radioactive isotopes in lots of other diseases, such as 90-Y for hemangioma, skin scar, 89-Sr for multiple bone metastasis, 131-I for metastasis post the operation of thyroid cancer.

We started earlier in our country on the research of myocardial perfusion imaging, which was granted by Guangdong Natural Sciences Grants and National 95 Target Sciences Grants. The project of Tc-99m -MIBI myocardial Quantitative imaging methods and its application in coronary artery disease is awarded Guangdong Province Science Progress 3th Prize on medicine hygiene in1995.

Now we are on the way of Dopamine Transporter SPECT Imaging in Parkinson Disease granted by the National Natural Sciences Grants. This project will highlight the diagnosis of Parkinson disease and its differentiation, its monitoring, and is becoming a routine method.
